Jebidiah was born in Pleasant Valley, Texas. His father was the owner of a local ranch, and his mother worked in the local convenience store. The local town had the usual things a small sleepy village in Texas would have: A store, high school, grade school, police department, fire department...the list goes on. Jebidiah never went to school, and hence his youth was troubled because of the names he was called. "Baldie" was their favorite, because Jebidiah was born with Alopecia, a condition that causes baldness. He never went to school because he loved life on the ranch, and spending time with his ma and pa. Some winters were harsh, but Jebidiah cared for all the animals on the ranch during the cold months. His ma also taught Jebidiah to cook good and wholesome food without using that many ingredients at all, and making the most out of everything, even the bones of the animal never went to waste. His pa taught him how to ride a horse at the age of three, and he could round up a herd of stampeding cattle at age four. He never knew how to read or write, but he could round up cattle and cook a wholesome meal with the skill of a professional. But that all changed...

At the age of eight, his mother died of a heart problem. She had passed peacefully in her sleep next to his father, who didn't stop crying for three hours. For those three hours, Jebidiah was right beside his father, doing exactly the same thing. They buried her under the cherry tree in the back yard, and when they did the whole town came to say their goodbyes. Three weeks slowly went by as Jebidiah and his father sat night after night, wondering what to do. It was in July when Jebidiah and his father finally got over her death, three months after her passing. Jebidiah played the role as the chef and cleaner, while his pa tended to the ranch and kept the money rolling in. When Jebidiah turned twelve, his father brought him into the barn. On the far side of the barn there was a line of bottles, and on the table in front of the bottles was a revolver. Jebidiah was on the road to manhood. His father held his hands around Jebidiah's as he took his first shots of a weapon, and taught him how to handle a weapon. The years went by as Jebidiah and his father kept the ranch going, year after year and month after month, Jebidiah and his father were living the good life. Until the Seven Hour War...

Jebidiah was twenty when the Seven Hour War rocked Earth. His father was in the barn as Jebidiah was cleaning his hunting rifle, as he saw the first soldiers coming into Pleasant Valley. He saw the First Division hunt down and gather up all the towns inhabitants, one by one and stuffing them onto trucks, which drove off into the distance. He called to his father, who came running into the house with his gun in his hand. Then they both stood in front of the ranch. "Like father, like son" his father said, as they started to fight back. They ran to the local police department and joined the fight with the sheriff and his deputies. They took down at least three members of the First Division, before the First Division had killed the sheriff and his deputies, just leaving Jebidiah and his father in the bullet-ridden building. They both turned to each other, then dropped their guns. Both of them walked out the front door, with their hands held to the sky. They were greeted by twenty AR-2 pulse rifles pointing at them, and a truck with it's doors open. Then began the journey to City 8.

When Jebidiah and his now old father made it to City 8, the Combine had only just taken over Earth. They were handed the infamous citizen clothing, and assigned an apartment in the local shopping district. And hence, Jebidiah and his father applied to become members of the Civil Workers Union, and were both accepted. Jebidiah's father tended to the store as Jebidiah had a small stall outside the store, selling all sorts of good food cooked in front of the citizens, even some low ranking Civil Protection Units swung by every lunch-time to get Jebidiah's famous headcrab kebabs. A year passed, and Jebidiah's father was now a weak, frail old man with long, white hair. Jebidiah then started to tend more to the store as well as his stall outside the store, while his father sat in the apartment, watching the T.V and sleeping in his comfy armchair. Jebidiah cared for his father the same way as his father cared for him back in Pleasant Valley, Texas. Then one day, when Jebidiah came home from running the store, he was greeted with the husk of his father, dead in the armchair. He had passed in his sleep, just like Jebidiah's mother had. He didn't stop crying for three hours, just like when his mother died. He then took his fathers corpse to the local cemetery, and laid him under the cherry tree sapling in the cemetery, so he could reside with his mother under the cherry tree. Then there was an exogen outbreak, forcing Jebidiah to pack his bags and leave City 8. He was then crammed onto the first train to a new city, which was City 45.

Jebidiah now resides in Apartment C-2, with a comfy armchair just like his fathers. He also owns the Cafe' located in the old Foto store, still cooking up a storm. He also still cooks up headcrab kebabs, all while trying to keep in everyone's good books. From the City Administrator to the most malnourished citizen, Jebidiah treats everyone with that Texan hospitality.

Just like his ma and pa taught him.
