Why do you want to join the MPF?(1 paragraph):I want to join the MPF because I
think I would really enjoy the serious, mature RP MPF has to offer. I've RPed
as a Lambda rebel and as a Loyalist on other servers and I think MPF is the
next logical step.

Why does your character want to join the MPF?(1 paragraph): She is tired of
getting beaten up. Also, she wants better food and living conditions.

Do you have any previous MPF experience?: Yes, i've RP'ed as a MPF officer on
multiple servers.

Why do you want to join the MPF?(2 paragraphs):

I am completely devoted to Universal Union and the Combine Civil Authority.
I firmly believe that our Benefactors and those that work under them power
both human evolution and the progress of the greater Union. Given this, I also
firmly believe that rebels, discontents and general malignants only serve to
stall our progress as a race and must be purged. I would like to join the CCA
to help purify humanity of it's harmful components and promote order.

In addition to the above reasons, I am also motivated by a desire for better
housing and food. I believe that the standard citizens rations are extremely
generous given the deplorable behavior of the general human population;
however, I desire the greater quality of rations afforded to those in the ranks
of the CCA. I also seek the greater safety of sleeping in the local nexus.
I will no longer have to worry about malignants breaking into my home or be
forced to be lumped in with them when they force inspections with their
anti-citizen behavior.

What do you hope to achieve in the MPF?(1 - 3 paragraphs): I hope to join the
HELIX devison and learn medical training to help other MPF officers.

Character backstory(2 - 4 paragraphs):
Samantha Baker was born to a upper-middle class family in Santa Monica.
The oldest of three children, Sam led her brother and two sisters, becoming a
sort of second mother to them. Since their mother, a pediatrician at a nearby
hospital, often worked late, at around 14, Sam had fully embraced her motherly
position. She cared for and scolded her sibling with the purest of intentions.
Since her father, an orthodontist, was more present at home then her mother,
Sam also was instilled with more masculine aspects. She showed less emotion
than her female peers at school, often appearing shy or distant. However, her
close friends knew her as a relatively normal person. By age 18,
Sam had decided to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a pediatrician.
She was late to enter college, taking a few years 'off' to help raise her
siblings as her mother spent less and less time at home. She left for college
confident in both her ability to succeed and in the fact that she had helped
raise her siblings to the best of her abilities.

College initially proved difficult for Samantha. While it was easy for her to
memorize facts, putting them in practice was a challenge for her. Remaining
confident in herself, and with the moral support of her family,
Samantha worked hard to overcome her academic shortcomings. And then just as
her life seemed completely in order, the world went to shit. The portal storms
in the immediate aftermath caused chaos in her home town and the national guard
was called in. She fled her college and reunited with her family, hoping to
ride out whatever was going on together. Then the Combine arrived en masse.
During the 7-hour war, she watched in horror as her brother was mercilessly
killed in the crossfire and then watched as his body was crushed under the
heel of fleeing humans soldiers. At this point, Samantha cracked mentally;
she became completely unresponsive emotionally, only exhibiting a blank stare.
She showed no emotion as she was separated from her remaining family members by
falling debris, she simply ran, and ran, and ran.

Post-war, Samantha was first transferred to a city on the eastern seaboard of
the United States, most likely to separate her from her any of her other family
members, but she (of course) was never told the reason. Sam remained
unresponsive, refusing to talk to others but performing all tasks and obeying
every order. But there was a deep sense of bitterness inside Sam; she was
bitter at her deplorable living conditions, she was angry at the Combine for
indirectly killing her brother, but most of all, she could not forgive herself
for what she saw as her inability to protect her brother. Overwhelmed by this
sense of guilt coupled with her monotonous, miserable lifestyle under Combine
occupation, Sam began to forget. She forgot the reason for her hate, her
memories of her family, especially the tragic death of her brother, fading to
a blur. She knew she had a siblings and parents and was semi-conscious of her
previous life in Santa Monica. Sort of a mental responsive to her overwhelming
guilt, Sam blocked out the details of her family and any traumatic experiences.
Samantha reverted to a state similar to her early years in high school: quiet
and distant, distrusting of others and displaying little emotion. The only
emotion Sam was left with was a sense of bitterness which she could no longer
attach to a single source. Samantha was then abruptly transferred to City 18,
without any reason being given, where her bitterness would coalesce around an
odd source.

Samantha arrived in City 18 as a quiet, obedient…slave would be the most
appropriate word. Her most vivid memories at this point were of the post-war
Combine occupation and so she trusted them implicitly. During her time in
City 18, she witnessed numerous failed riots, rebellions and general malicious
behavior. She saw these people die for a cause, ‘freedom’, which they blindly
believed in and it subconsciously reminded her of the death of her brother
and the guilt is caused her. She began to feel bitter towards them, angry
towards those who would foolishly oppose the Combine only to be cut down
like animals. Samantha unknowingly began to focus her bitterness onto the rebels, firmly latching onto this idea. Samantha firmly latched herself onto this hatred of malignants, it becoming the center of her being, subsequently causing her to sympathize with the Combine more and more. As Samantha snapped out of her emotionless state, she began to realie the reality of situation: she was living in horrible conditions, sharing food and living space with the degenerates she so despised. And so, her new focus became to join the CCA, no matter what the cost. Samantha is an intelligent, observant woman, and eventually deduced that by securing contraband from the slums, she could win favor with the CCA. Once she was transferred to city 45, she searched for a passage into the slums and fully committed to her mission: smuggle contraband into the city and then strategically turn it in to maximize the loyalist points she would receive. This brings us to today, where Samantha has turned in enough contraband to earn her 5 Loyalist points…
